Bush + Volbeat – Utilita Arena Cardiff
There was a proper charge in the air at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena long before the headliners even thought about stepping on stage. Three bands with completely different approaches to heavy music, and a crowd that arrived ready to lose themselves in all of it. Witch Fever ignited things, Bush delivered a powerhouse masterclass, and Volbeat closed the night with the kind of big-hearted, riff-driven spectacle only they can.
Hard Life – O2 Academy Bristol
There was a real sense of anticipation at Bristol’s O2 Academy on Wednesday night, as Hard Life played the second stop of their headline tour and the first venue to sell out. The band, formerly known as Easy Life, ceased performing under that name in 2023 after a legal dispute with easyGroup and returned in June 2024 under the new identity. For fans, this felt like both a fresh start and a long-awaited return.

Idles: Block Party – Queen Square, Bristol
Queen Square was packed to its edges for the band’s biggest hometown show to date. This was more than just a gig; it felt like a communal release. A celebration of where the band came from, and how far they’ve pushed things without losing that original urgency.
