Kiefer Sutherland – Tramshed, Cardiff

Kiefer Sutherland brought his Love Will Bring You Home Tour to a packed Tramshed Cardiff, transforming a warm bank holiday night in the Welsh capital into a relaxed, feelgood celebration of Americana-tinged rock and storytelling. Supported by Irish singer-songwriter Colin Andrew, the evening delivered a strong balance of charm, musicianship and easy-going crowd connection from start to finish.

Opening the night, Colin Andrew set the tone perfectly with a warm, confident acoustic set that quickly connected with the Cardiff audience. He spoke about liking to include a local cover in each city, joking that he wasn’t going to attempt the Welsh national anthem, before winning the room over with a lively take on Handbags and Gladrags by Stereophonics, which landed especially well with the home crowd. Alongside his original material, his dry humour and natural ease on stage created an immediate rapport, making for an engaging and well-received opening set.

As anticipation built, Kiefer Sutherland and his band arrived to an enthusiastic reception, immediately settling into a set that blended new material from the forthcoming album Grey with established favourites. Backed by a tight, accomplished band featuring layered guitars and a solid rhythm section, Sutherland moved comfortably between upbeat country rock moments and more reflective, stripped-back storytelling.

There’s always a natural curiosity around a performer known globally for his A-list Hollywood career, but that novelty melts away almost instantly on stage. What remains is a genuine, talented and credible musician delivering a confident live performance that stands firmly on its own.

Musically, the set flowed with purpose and variety. Up-tempo tracks lifted the room, while slower numbers allowed the strength of the songwriting to come through, with themes of travel, reflection and simplicity running throughout. Covers were woven in seamlessly, adding familiar touchpoints that landed strongly with the Cardiff crowd.

By the final stretch of the set, the atmosphere was fully locked in with the performance, the band maintaining strong momentum right through to the end and drawing a big, appreciative response from the audience.

YUNGBLUD – Engine Rooms, Southampton

The room was in the palm of his hand, and when the crowd sang Zombie back at him, it was powerful and emotional - a real moment. It was genuinely moving to witness how full of love and gratitude he is for his fans, for his life, for experiences like this.
