Bastille & The Wombats – Crystal Palace Bowl

On the 13th of August 2026, definitely one of the hottest days in London, fans and music lovers gathered in a very sunny south London field to watch Bastille, The Wombats, Prima Queen and Cherry Holt.

Spirits were high from the start, with Cherry Holt kicking off the afternoon with gorgeous vocals and fun guitar riffs to get the crowd dancing. Prima Queen then added to the already dancing festivalgoers, playing some fun crowd pleasers and got the people cheering to their new single “Crumb“.

The crowd got bigger in anticipation for The Wombats, a staple band in any indie line-up; they never fail to put on a fantastic show, despite technical difficulties which almost led to no “Moving to New York“; they kept everyone on their toes with an on-the-spot switch-up and playing a few new ones to build the excitement for their upcoming album! They ended their set, while the sun was setting, with one of the best indie bangers, “Let’s Dance to Joy Division“.

With the sun now set, everyone made their way out of the shade to get a good spot for the headline performance from Bastille. The energy in the crowd when the band walked on stage was incredible, some people screaming, some jumping, a few crying; it always makes me realise how much music means to people and how different people can all come together with a good tune.

Bastille got everyone singing right off the bat; everyone’s eyes were on Dan as he danced and moved around the stage easily, matching and absorbing the energy from the crowd. The set was a wonderful mix of big hits, heartfelt ballads, dance tunes and a surprise DJ set halfway through! As the set neared its end, they played “Happier,” and Dan got in the crowd to dance and sing with the fans, making it a set everyone will remember.

Bush + Volbeat – Utilita Arena Cardiff

There was a proper charge in the air at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena long before the headliners even thought about stepping on stage. Three bands with completely different approaches to heavy music, and a crowd that arrived ready to lose themselves in all of it. Witch Fever ignited things, Bush delivered a powerhouse masterclass, and Volbeat closed the night with the kind of big-hearted, riff-driven spectacle only they can.

Razorlight – O2 Guildhall Southampton

By the time Razorlight hit the stage for the first date of their Planet Nowhere tour, it felt like we were all greeting old friends. The band launched straight into their set with energy and enthusiasm. Though there wasn’t much conversation or banter between songs - allowing the music to speak for itself - the moments of excitement came in waves, particularly when they played their well known hits.
