86TVs – The Joiners, Southampton
As soon as this tour was announced back in October of last year, those tickets were booked and in the bag! Those six months flew by and here we were at the iconic Joiners for a sold out capacity show of around 200 people - the best kind of shows in my opinion.
Yard Act – UEA, Norwich
The “post-punk poster boys”, Yard Act, kicked off their ‘Dream Job’ tour in Norwich on Wednesday. Recently reviewed by the local rock legend, The Darkness’ Justin Hawkins, he called them “f*cking awesome” and praised lead singer James Smith’s lyricism as “bullet-proof”. The fans were left with no doubt that this show would be “ace, top, mint” etc.
Pentire – Heartbreakers, Southampton
The latest quartet taking the indie-rock scene by storm are Pentire, and after kicking the year off with a brilliant new single, Don’t Let Your Love (Let You Down), the Hereford boys are now out boasting their best work to the nation on their biggest tour to date!
Echo & The Bunnymen – Norwich UEA
The iconic image of post-punk is maintained by Ian McCulloch and his cohort on their sold-out tour. Echo and the Bunnymen kicked off the second night of ‘Songs to Learn and Sing’ by announcing a two-part set just an hour before doors opened – much to fans’ delight!

Miles Kane – Electric Ballroom, Camden
Miles Kane, a true staple in British indie-rock music. Miles finished his tour in the capital this weekend with two nights at Camden’s Electric Ballroom, selling out the Friday night and near capacity on the Saturday. After supporting Arctic Monkeys in Ireland, the intimate gigs, the hugely popular record store meet and greets, this tour has allowed Miles to showcase his 5th studio album 'One Man Band' (which reached number 5 in the Official UK Album Charts).
Declan McKenna – Trowbridge Civic Centre
What Happened to the Beach, the newest record from Mercury Prize winning singer-songwriter Declan McKenna, has finally arrived in the ears of music lovers worldwide, and to celebrate, its being taken on tour!
DMA’s – O2 Guildhall Southampton
What more can I say about this band from Sydney? Every time I have seen DMA's live they just get better and better with tonight being no exception to that rule!
Truck Festival 2023
Oxford’s finest festival returned last weekend for its 26th edition at Hill Farm to a sold-out crowd of 25,000 revellers! The line-up is always a fine blend of indie, rock and alternative spheres which showcases the best in new and merging music along with established touring bands.
Arctic Monkeys – The Ageas Bowl
Tonight saw Arctic Monkeys drive ‘The Car’ tour into town to play The Ageas Bowl in front of a long sold out crowd. The Monkeys have so far travelled across the country taking in their hometown Sheffield and Manchester to name a few. It was a beautiful summers evening tonight with the sun illuminating the cricket ground perfectly.
