Takedown Festival 2026
Two days, multiple stages, and a lineup that perfectly captured the past, present, and future of alternative music. Takedown Festival 2026 didn’t just meet expectations; it completely raised the bar.
Across both days, Portsmouth Guildhall became a hub of energy, nostalgia, and discovery, showcasing a brilliant mix of established names and rising UK talent, and proving once again why Takedown remains one of the most vital fixtures in the alternative music calendar.

Crystal Tides – Portsmouth Guildhall
Anyone from Portsmouth knows that Portsmouth Guildhall is the biggest venue in the city, so when Crystal Tides announced they were headlining this iconic venue last year, we knew this was going to be a special night. Within a week of the tickets going on sale last year, the venue had completely sold out. Many people signed up to the waiting list for spare tickets, desperate to be a part of this event.
Bob Vylan – Portsmouth Guildhall

Paul is a master of his craft and his longevity in the music industry is something to be admired. The man has reinvented himself numerous times and has not been afraid to face his critics in staying true to what feels most aligned to him. In my opinion, Paul is a living legend of British music.
Noel Gallagher – Portsmouth Guildhall
Noel’s songwriting expertise coupled with Liam's snarling vocals, propelled Oasis like a rocket to be arguably the best but certainly the biggest selling band of the 90's. With legions of fans that have now passed the music down the generations, which is there to see withe demographic of tonights gig. Sometimes it feels like we are attending an AGM of the 90's when turning up at a gig of one of the Gallagher brothers.

Jamie T – Portsmouth Guildhall
Anticipation was high at Portsmouth Guildhall for Jamie T’s arrival to deliver his ‘ The Theory of Whatever’ tour which was at its penultimate night. When I arrived at the venue there were a steady stream of fans already entering the venue and also filling up the surrounding pubs.
