Chappaqua Wrestling unleash new track ‘Wayfinding’

Chappaqua Wrestling share new single ‘Wayfinding’.

As the band continues to tease new music, their recent output has seen them make a habit of engaging in difficult conversations. Summer single ‘Full Round Table’ catalogued the mounting crises facing us – many of which hit society’s youngest the hardest – skewering inaction from the powers that be, while scorching a path to positivity.

It is that positivity that is fast becoming a hook onto which Chappaqua Wrestling hang their hats. New single ‘Wayfinding’ is once again a masterclass in the melding of tension and release – a pattern that so deftly captures the weight on their shoulders and the euphoria of letting go. In a world where it is easy to be crushed under the weight of bad news, the band strives to find a way to view it with a glass-half-full mentality, accepting that it may not be there yet, but it’s filling up.

‘Wayfinding’ stays true to the ethos with which Chappaqua Wrestling ply their trade: always explosive, always with an earworm melody at its heart, and with optimism and hope running through its veins. ‘Wayfinding’ brings with it an arm-around-the-shoulder solidarity, and the perfect balance of optimism and reality, as the band explains below.

“‘Wayfinding’ is a song to guide you through the ups and downs of doing something you really believe in. However glossy-eyed you are on a weekend about life, the mid-week lull can come to ruin it. The monotony of work, the routine of debt via rent and pub eating at your soul.

Sometimes you gotta be strong and ignore the present depressing times, and think about how generally things are moving in the right direction. You have to believe.”
