Fat Dog unveil new song ‘All The Same’

Last August, Fat Dog released their debut single “King of the Slugs”, a 7-minute statement of intent from a band who have been rapidly building an ardent and faithful fan base with their unmissable, raucous live shows. Following their wild and triumphant sold-out gig London’s Scala in October, Fat Dog headed off on a UK tour culminating at a sold-out Salford show.

Today, the band unveil their second single “All The Same”; co-produced by frontman Joe Love and James Ford, it’s the antidotal follow-up to “King of the Slugs”. Propulsive and galvanising, “All The Same” is underpinned by orchestra hits and eagle noises as it races along to a dramatic conclusion in under 3 minutes. Hinting at the song’s narrative, Fat Dog suggest: “What if you could turn the clock back and make a change? Just a single, well-placed kick, that perhaps could change the whole course of your life. Perhaps the party never has to stop?”

The video for “All The Same” is directed by Dylan Coates and stars Neil Bell (Dead Man’s Shoes, Dune, Peterloo) in a twisted, absurdist tale of time travel and fatherhood.

As a sign of the genuine excitement growing around this band, Fat Dog have confirmed their next hometown show will be the 1500-capacity London’s Electric Brixton in April, their largest ever headline show to date as well as their first ever US live gigs in March including SXSW, NY, LA and San Francisco.

A limited edition 7” of “All The Same” will be released on March 22nd backed by an exclusive B-side “Land Before Time”. Pre-order from Dom Mart here.
