Lock In

LOCK-IN new single and headline tour

LOCK-IN are continuing to consolidate their title as ‘ones to watch’ in 2024. Having just SOLD OUT their biggest London headline show to date at Lafayette on April 27th, the five childhood friends from Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire release their new single ‘Sun Kiss’ today after being picked by Truck Festival to play The Market Stage and absolutely smashing it!

‘Sun Kiss’ is LOCK-IN’s feel-good anthem that captures the essence of summer, evoking memories of sun-soaked afternoons in beer gardens, the exhilaration of music festivals, and the simple joys of long, carefree days. With its infectious melody and heartfelt lyrics such as “Do you wanna? Do you wanna get out? Sun Kiss baby, summertime we’re never in doubt”. “Sun Kiss” is set to become the soundtrack of the season. Fans and newcomers alike will be transported back to their favourite summer moments, making LOCK-IN the ones to watch in the indie music world.

Benjy says, “We wanted ‘Sun Kiss’ to be a musical time machine. It’s all about capturing that nostalgic feeling of summer, where every moment feels like it’s bathed in golden light, and every memory is wrapped in the warmth of good times with friends. We hope this song brings listeners back to their own sun-kissed memories.”

‘Sun Kiss’ joins summer anthem from 2022 ‘Vandross’. LOCK-IN’s signature summer anthem is something they always have up their sleeve. The seasonal masterclass comes from a winter dream of the weather getting warmer and the night’s drawing out.

Rhythm guitarist Angus adds, “This song encapsulates ‘summertime feels’. With its careful blend of guitar melodies and rhythmic drive, the song is composed upon an instantly rememberable balance. Our inspiration comes from the energy of festival crowds, and we use these live experiences to fuel our new sounds. This song propels the listener into the summer with feelings of nostalgia and excitement”

LOCK-IN wrote Sun Kiss, which was produced by platinum producer Max Marlow who is best know for producing Declan McKenna’s hit single ‘Brazil’.

The band – completed by Benjy’s brother Joe Leak (lead guitar) plus Angus Moore (guitar), Sam Collins (bass) and Ollie Stacey (drums) – have won a cult following in the live arena. With Benjy providing a beguiling star aura as their focal point, LOCK-IN have headlined the This Feeling stage at Truck and Isle of Wight festival, hit further festivals such as Y Not?, The Great Escape, The Gathering Sounds, Rewired and the Sunset Sessions, and seen their London headline shows sell-out with every visit – from Water Rats to Omeara to The Garage and now Lafayette.

Still in their early twenties, LOCK-IN have won early attention from Radio 6, BBC Music Introducing, Radio X, Spotify’s Fresh Finds and New Music Friday playlist, Sky Sports and talkSPORT while also playing shows as special guests to Planet, Komparisson, The K’s and Spangled. The West Ham fans also had two of their songs featured in launch videos for the club’s home and away kits, which featured appearances from some of the players who went on to make Hammers history by winning the Europa Conference League. They have completed a UK and European tour as special guests to Australia’s The Terrys, which included their first ever shows in Germany.
