Justice return with new album ‘Hyperdrama’ and two new singles

JUSTICE have announced their brand new album ‘Hyperdrama’ will be released on 26th April 2024 via Ed Banger Records / Because Music.

Two singles are released today, taken from the forthcoming album: “One Night/All Night” (starring Tame Impala) and “Generator”.

Of the single “One Night/All Night” (starring Tame Impala), the band say:

“This is Kevin [Parker] singing. This is the touchstone of this record. Like okay, let’s make a song that’s all techno, then all disco, and then it’s all techno again. It’s a bit like when you have wine that doesn’t fit well with what you’re doing and they’re fighting for attention but it still tastes good.”

And of “Generator”, the band add:

“To us, this one sounds like ‘Getaway’ by the Salsoul Orchestra, but with gabber and classic ‘90s techno sounds. We love all kinds of music that don’t really appear in Justice. But I would say that the main two types of music that coexist in Justice since the beginning are disco funk and more electronic music. And particularly on Generator we make them coexist, but not really in a peaceful way. We like this idea of making them fight a bit for attention.”

The official video for “One Night/All Night” is available to watch below. The arresting visual, produced by Phantasm and directed by Anton Tammi in collaboration with Justice, also reveals the artwork for the highly anticipated ‘Hyperdrama’ album. As Tammi states:

“I suggested to them that what if we dive in? What if their music video was a journey inside the cross? I dreamed of creating a piece like this. A strange and experimental object that looks like rave lighting inside human lungs and strobe light around a human heart.”

New album ‘Hyperdrama’ will be available from 26th April digitally to stream/download as well as physically via CD, double black vinyl, limited edition double crystal clear vinyl and limited edition double picture disc vinyl.

Earlier this month Justice were announced to be performing at Coachella Festival, which will be the debut performance of their as-yet-unseen new live show. Live dates announced so far for Justice can be found here.
