Hotly-tipped Manchester newcomers Rosellas sign to This Feeling Records

Rising newcomers Rosellas have become a mainstay of this summer’s festival circuit, with the Isle of Wight, Y Not?, Truck and Liverpool Sound City just some of the events they’ve won a growing army of new fans at. Their efforts have been rewarded with a double-shot of big news for the Manchester quintet. Firstly, they’re proud to announce that they have signed to rock ‘n’ roll tastemakers This Feeling Records, where they join a family which also consists of The Native, Fitzroy Holt and Spangled. And next month will see them embark upon a major UK tour as guests to the resurgent Starsailor.

Rosellas commented:

“We’re buzzing to tour with Starsailor in September and show big audiences what we’re all about. Being on the road is where we thrive and there’s nothing better than seeing a new crowd get involved and stick along for the ride. We’re mega excited to release some new tunes and we are super proud of signing with This Feeling Records. After working alongside them at gigs and festivals, we feel it’s the right time to take a step forward and create something special.”

Since debuting in 2019, Rosellas’ independent releases such as ‘Over’, ‘Common Ground’ and ‘Damaged’ have seen the band honing a sound which plays on contemporary and classic indie, with DMA’S and Inhaler proving to be as vital reference points as The Stone Roses and The Verve. That broad appeal has also seen them play shows with fellow next wave bands Planet and The K’s, as well as with Shaun Ryder’s legendary Black Grape. Rosellas’ sound has the potential to take them to the biggest stages, with instantly anthemic hooks, classic Madchester guitar riffs and a surfeit of melody.

Having played a pivotal role in the ascent of bands such as Blossoms, Catfish and The Bottlemen and The Lathums, This Feeling have consistently supported Rosellas’ rise so far. Mikey Jonns’ multifaceted club night, record label and new music platform booked Rosellas for their first major festival shows, included them on their Big in 2022 showcase gig and vinyl compilation, and repeatedly highlighted their releases as This Feeling’s Track of the Day.

Expect to hear new music from Rosellas soon.

Consisting of Drew Selby (vocals, lead guitar), Euan Mail (rhythm guitar), Luis Sullivan (keys, backing vocals), Ollie Appleby (bass) and Mark Zanker (drums) are also set to play the Rewired Festival and two headline shows along with the Starsailor tour. Their upcoming tour dates can be found here.
