Temples have announced details of their fourth album, Exotico. The Sean Ono Lennon produced album will be released on ATO Records on Friday 14th April 2023. Having previously worked with Lennon on their 2020 single ‘Paraphernalia’, the album was recorded at his upstate New York studio and mixed by Dave Fridmann (Beach House, Spoon, The Flaming Lips).

Songwriter, musician, visual artist and writer Shana Cleveland (La Luz) has announced the forthcoming release of a new solo album, Manzanita, on March 10 via Hardly Art Records. Today she shares the first peek of the LP via the orchestral pop single “Faces in the Firelight.” The song is addressed to both her son (written while he was in utero) and her life partner Will Sprott (Shannon and the Clams).

Avey Tare announces new album 7s

Avey Tare, the solo project of Animal Collective’s Dave Portner, will release his new album 7s on February 17 via Domino. Following three solo albums and one release under Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks, 7s was recorded with producer Adam McDaniel (Angel Olsen, Archers of Loaf) at Drop of Sun Studios in Portner’s hometown of Asheville, North Carolina, and he describes the album as “a dreamy surrealist landscape.” Avey Tare shares two new songs from 7s - “The Musical,” with a video by Ellie Thatcher, and “Hey Bog,” with a visualizer by Abby Portner.
