Night Currents Festival returns for 2024 with first line up announcement

Night Currents Festival returns to Portsmouth on Saturday 5th October, showcasing the UK’s most exciting established and rising talent. Bands will play across 2 stages at The Wedgewood Rooms and The Edge of The Wedge, with zero clashes between artists. The first wave of acts has arrived for its 2024 edition, promising a strong bill for alternative rock fans.

Isle of Wight indie staples Coach Party top the bill. The headline slot follows their packed out Wedgewood Rooms show in 2023, in support of their anthemic debut album Killjoy. Fans of the quartet’s impactful power pop and guitar-driven edge will be thrilled to see the band return to the South Coast this Autumn.

Coach Party will be joined by Arxx, Sløtface, Human Interest, Flat Party, and The Pill, plus more to be announced.

Night Currents Festival is a one-day indoor music event presented by ABH Promotions, Fitz Promotions and music publication Rock Coven. Promoters ABH and Fitz bring lively alternative, rock and pop acts to the South Coast all year around. Fitz Promotions also host standout annual indie event Golden Touch Festival, a fan-favourite for local music lovers. Collaborating on Night Currents Festival is an opportunity for the forward-thinking tastemakers to celebrate outstanding talent and craft an unforgettable day of live music.

Benjamin Heath of ABH Promotions says, “We were so proud of last year’s lineup, bringing together some of our favourite acts like Gengahr, Youth Sector, and Currls. We knew 2024 had to be just as good.”

“I am so chuffed to announce this year’s lineup. To have Coach Party as our headliner is incredibly exciting, and we can’t wait for October to get here. Hope to see you all there!”

More acts will be revealed over the coming months in the lead up to the festival on Saturday 5th October2024.

Tier 2 tickets are £25 and are on sale now.
